“There is nothing in the whole of Europe,
I do not say that comes close to this theater, but it gives a clue ….”
[Stendhal, 1817]

Overlooking Piazza Trieste e Trento, at walking distance on both our Hotels , is one of the major opera houses of Europe.
Founded in 1793 by order of Charles of Bourbon, accommodates up to three thousand five hundred spectators.
From October 2011 houses the Memus (short for “memory” and “museum”), where you can see  of the historical museum works of art (paintings, photographs, musical instruments, costumes, historical documents, audio and even a music archive one of the video images) that trace the history of San Carlo himself of Italian opera.
The museum starts with the path in the adjacent historic royal residence, which leads to the theater, visiting historical environments that are not visible or if you log on to the royal palace, or the San Carlo as a spectator.
